Zachary Lynn Malcolm, 38, of Paragould, died Tuesday at his residence. He was preceded in death by his father, David S. Malcolm; grandparents, Monzell M. and Sarah Malcolm; grandfather, Thomas E. Lynn; and uncle, Darrell E. Lynn. Survivors include his mother, Connie Lynn Malcolm Whitman of Paragould; brothers, Jordan T. Whitman of Paragould and Joshua L. Malcolm of Fayetteville; grandmother, Carlean Lynn of Paragould; uncles and aunts, Teresa Kelley of Paragould, Bruce and T.K. Lynn of Greeneville, TX, and Carl and Carla Craig of Cookeville, TN; 10 cousins; and 4 second cousins. Zachary was an avid thespian and enjoyed performing in many Greene County Fine Arts productions including Jesus Christ Superstar, Two Wives and a Dead Guy, Jekyll and Hyde the Musical, A Night of Ghost Stories, Sweeney Todd, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, and The Hobbit. In October 2012, he was an actor in the local Paragould haunted house, "The Night Terrors Haunted House". For the last nine years, Zachary performed as part of the shadow cast for The Rocky Horror Picture Show at the Paragould Cinema 8 Theater as the Narrator. Zachary loved pizza, movies, Halloween, and giving to others. A memorial service will begin Saturday at 10 am at the Collins Theater under the direction of Heath Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Manila Cemetery in Manilla. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Greene County Fine Arts Council.
