Wyvonia Akes, 67, of Paragould, died February 28, 2015 at St. Bernard's Medical Center. Wyvonia was born to the late Erney Sr. and Elsie Granger March 23, 1947 in Ponchatoula, Louisiana. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Wyvonia is preceded in death by her parents and one son Derick McLain. She is survived by her husband Charles Akes, four children Eric Leo McLain of Goodbee, Louisiana, Karen Ash of Marmaduke, Kimberly Akes of Marmaduke, Kelly Burt of Paragould, grandchildren Brittany McLain and her husband CodyTullos of Longanger, Louisiana, Eric McLain Jr. of Ouma, Louisiana, Cody, Brittany, Dustin, DeeAnna, Donetta and Destiny two great grandchildren Carson Tullos and Brody Tullos three sisters Norma Reid, Virginia and her husband Joseph Snyder, Vanessa Gamack, two brothers Olfa Granger and Troy Granger her cousin Anna and her husband Mike Bignar and her beloved dog KC. Services will be 1PM Wednesday in the Heath Colonial Chapel with John Fleming officiating, burial will follow in the Greene County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin Wednesday at 11 and will go until service time.
