Wm. Ralph Diggs

Wm. Ralph Diggs, 89, of Paragould, died Tuesday, February 3, 2009, at St Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was born, February 9, 1919, the son of the late Adrian and Edna Diggs. His early years were spent in the Bethel area near Paragould. He was a graduate of Arkansas State College, Memphis State College with graduate work in education from Stetson University in Deland, Florida. He worked in education in Arkansas and Florida until his retirement. Mr. Diggs was a mason, Shriner and past worthy Patron of Eastern Star and was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife: Jessie Diggs, of the home; daughters: Jean Ann Farrior of Pensacola, Florida, Barbara Cronan of Columbia, Mississippi, Carol Cato of Weston, Florida; son: Wm. Ralph Diggs, Jr. of Hickory Ridge, Arkansas; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until service time at 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 7 at Heath Colonial Chapel with Reverend Larry Hughes officiating. Interment will follow at Woods Chapel Cemetery.
