Winford Cothren

Winford H. Cothren passed away on November 17, 2024, at the age of 93. Born in Paragould, Arkansas, on September 5, 1931, Winford was a devoted husband to Constance "Connie" Cothren, and a loving father to his son, Fred Cothren. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

A man of simple pleasures, Winford found joy in the outdoors, often spending his days hunting and fishing. His hands were always busy, whether it was working on diesel engines or tending to his garden. His dedication to his craft as a diesel mechanic was a testament to his hard work and determination.

Winford's kind heart and gentle nature will always be remembered by those who knew him best. He leaves behind his loving wife, Connie Cothren; son, Fred Cothern and wife, Barbara; and a host of nieces and nephews to carry on his legacy.

Winford was preceded in death by his parents, Griffin and Ina Cothren along with six sisters and 2 brothers.

A graveside service to honor Winford's life will be held at Linwood Cemetery, on November 23, 2024, at 11:00 am, followed by his burial. The ceremony will be a time for family and friends to gather, share memories, and celebrate the life of a man who touched so many hearts.

In this time of loss, let us remember Winford's legacy of hard work, love for his family, and appreciation for the simple joys in life. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the beauty of the gardens he tended and the memories he created.
