Wilma Jean Mitchell, 77, of Beech Grove, passed Wednesday at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould. She was the daughter of the late Elmer and Flossie Holland Huffman. Jean was retired from Greene County Tech School District as a food service worker, enjoyed crafting, and loved going places with her family. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe M. Mitchell; and four brothers, James Huffman, Lannie Huffman, Vernal Huffman, and Ralph Huffman.
Survivors include daughters, Gail (Randy) Joiner and Tammy (Mike) Retherford, both of Beech Grove; sister, Verta "Bert" Condray, of Mt. Home; brothers, Darrel (Sue) Huffman, of Beech Grove and Jerry (Kaye) Huffman, of Maryville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Zach (Courtney) Hobbs, Cody Hobbs, Bryton Joiner, Breanna Joiner, all of Beech Grove; great grandchildren, Keegan, Kalin, and Kambrie Hobbs; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation is Friday night from 6:00-8:00 pm at Heath Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Saturday at 3:00 pm in the chapel with Rev. Jay Hicks officiating. Burial will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Bryton Joiner, Justice Condray, Tristin Condray, Josh Condray, Blayne Nicely, and Levi Hicks. Honorary pallbearers are Wyatt Hudson and William Retherford.
