Berah Willyne Thompson Jordan, 87, of Paragould, passed away Monday at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House. Willyne taught school for thirty two years at the Cardwell, Piggott and Marmaduke school districts. After she retired from teaching, she became a Methodist pastor for St. Francis Methodist Church and Wright's Chapel. Her church and family were everything to her. Willyne was the daughter of the late Lee and Vashti Trantham Hass. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of forty eight years, Charles Thompson; her second husband, Robert Jordan; and four siblings, Cleo, Crillon, Charles and Curtis Hass.
Survivors include her children, Larry (Tammy) Thompson, Debbie (David) Guemmer, and Cindy Burns; grandchildren, Todd Guemmer, Kassie Allen, Amanda (Curtis) Henderson, Tommy Joe Burns, Mitchell (Kristen) Guemmer, Matthew Guemmer, Brett Guemmer, and Garrett Thompson; great-grandchildren, Taylor Guemmer, Brennan Milligan, Charles Guemmer, Jaxon Allen, Rayleigh Burns, Riley Henderson, Vivian Guemmer, Jake Burns, and Jace Guemmer; one great-great-grandchild, Kai Krupp; two sisters, Amy Gardner of Paragould and Joan Conklin of South Dakota; and many other nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Wednesday night at Heath Funeral Home from 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Thursday in the Heath Colonial Chapel with Rev. Eddie Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Harvey's Chapel. Online tributes at www.heathfuneralhome.com. Following the State of Arkansas COVID-19 guidelines, face masks will be required to enter the building and maintaining social distancing of 6-foot between one another.
