William "Wild Bill" Norman Ray, 72, of Marmaduke died Monday at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center. He retired as a paper carrier with Mt Pleasant Daily Tribune for 18 years. He loved to fish and was a member of Pine Hill Full Gospel. He was the son of the late Roy and Lillian Ray. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Donald Ray, and sisters, Kathy Patterson, and Elsie Stevens.
He is survived by his wife, Peggie Ray of the home; son, Clay Ray (fiance, Teresa) of Hardin, Kentucky; daughters, Tammie Sanders of Paragould, Sheila Kay Ray; granddaughters, Jessica Shelby, Emily Humphrey Smithee, Arriana Rose Ray; grandsons, Alexander and Cody Ray; great granddaughter, Trinity Shelby, and other great grandchildren; brother, Ervin Ray of Paragould; sisters, Barbara Miller of Marmaduke, Gayla Thomas of Prescott.
Visitation will be Thursday at 7:00 PM until time of service on Friday at 2:00 PM at Pine Hill Full Gospel Church in Marmaduke with Sister Kathie Martin officiating. Burial is in New Friendship Cemetery.
