William Jefferson Gramling

William (Jay) Gramling died February 28, 2009, at Shiloh Health and Rehab in Springdale, Arkansas. He was born August 23, 1925, to Clyde and Cora Gramling. He was a farmer in the Stanford community until 1967. He went to work for the American Greetings Corp. in Osceola and retired in 1988. He moved to Elkins, Arkansas, in 2002 and then to Shiloh Health and Rehab in Springdale, Arkansas, until his death. He is survived by his companion and mother of his children, Christene Lenderman Gramling of Shiloh Health and Rehab and Vaudine Gramling of Lake City, Arkansas; a son and his wife, Don and Anita Gramling of Elkins, Arkansas; two daughters and their husbands, Linda and Jimmy Henson of West Memphis, Arkansas, and Javene and Larry Mounce of Springdale, Arkansas; his son-in-law, Fred Boling of Jonesboro, Arkansas; three sisters, Wanda Clifton, Barbara Rawls, and Janiece Cox; and a brother, Cleatus Gramling. He has nine grandchildren, Terry and Steven Gramling, Michelle Boling Taylor and Chris Boling, Jimmy Lynn and Patrick Henson, Sheila and Larry Mounce, Jr., and Brandon Garrett and thirteen great-grandchildren, Chance Gramling, Brianna Gramling, Sawyer Taylor, D.D. and Addison Boling, Justin Henson, Hannah and Hayden Steward, Amanda and C.J. Short, Tayler and Skyler Mounce, and Brook Garrett. He was preceded in death by his daughter Clara Ann Gramling Boling; his parents, Clyde and Cora Gramling; one sister, Sylvia Adams; and one brother, Walter (Salt) Gramling. Pallbearers will be Terry Gramling, Jimmy Lynn Henson, Patrick Henson, Larry Mounce, Jr., Chris Boling, and Damon Beavers. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6:30-8:30 at Heath Funeral Home in Paragould. Funeral will be held Wednesday at 10 am in the Heath Colonial Chapel with Bros. Ricky Stevens and L.R. Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Shiloh Cemetery.
