Willadene Forbis

Mrs. Willadene Forbis, a dedicated bookkeeper and cherished member of the Paragould community, passed away on July 14, 2024, at the age of 91. Born on October 8, 1932, in Paragould, to the late Lester Hamil and Zelma Cupp, Mrs. Forbis was a woman of unwavering devotion to her family, friends, and faith.

Throughout her life, Mrs. Forbis found joy in the simplest of pleasures. An avid reader and skilled crafter, she could often be found with a book in hand or a crochet hook in her lap. She and her husband, Ralph, enjoyed many years of crafting ceramics together. Her love for her family knew no bounds, and she took pride in raising her children and doting on her grandson, Matthew.

Mrs. Forbis dedicated many years to her work as a bookkeeper, working at multiple local businesses, including Harold Morgan Furniture. She leaves behind a legacy of hard work, dedication, and integrity in her profession. As a 1950 graduate of Greene County Tech High School, Mrs. Forbis valued education and lifelong learning.

A member of the First Baptist Church of Paragould, Mrs. Forbis found solace and community in her faith. She and her husband were participants in church activities and valued their spiritual connections.

Mrs. Forbis is survived by her son Ralph Forbis, daughter Ralphalene Forbis, daughter-in-law Susan Forbis, grandson Matthew Forbis, and spouse Ralph Forbis. Her memory will be forever cherished by those who knew and loved her.

Willadene was preceded in death by her parents, Lester Hamil and Zelma Cupp; her daughter, Ralanna Erbe; her sister, Imadene Hamil; and her step-father, Herbert "Doc" Menser.

Services for Mrs. Forbis will take place at a later date, where friends and family will gather in her memory and come together to mourn the loss of a beloved individual who touched the lives of many. May her gentle soul rest in eternal peace.
