Wava Defries

Wava DeFries, 74, of Paragould, passed away Sunday at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. She was a Christian and had retired from L.A. Darling Store Fixtures. She enjoyed reading her Bible. One of her hobbies was archery. Wava was the daughter of the late C.D. and Geraldine "Toots" Markin. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Johnny DeFries.

Survivors include her son, John Dean (Stacey) DeFries; daughter, Leasa Graddy; grandchildren, Chris and Duran DeFries, Christina Muhlenbruch, Deryk Crum, Isabella and Landon Wood, and Shane Graddy; great grandchild, Ivor Peterson; sister, Linda Markin; and nephew, Shawn Markin.

A memorial service will be Thursday at 6 PM at Heath Funeral Home with Rev. Jared Pickney officiating. Instead of flowers, please send memorials to the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.
