Walter Lincoln Strope, Jr.

Walter Lincoln Strope, Jr., 92, of Paragould, passed from this life on Sunday, January 15, 2023. He was born in Paragould on March 30, 1930, to the late Walter, Sr. and Midola Strope. Junior was a brick mason. He worked extremely hard his entire life and was good at what he did. When he was not working, Junior enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was preceded in death by parents; wife, Marvell White Strope; brother, Mack Strope; and sister, Louise Dennington.

Junior is survived by his son, Dennis (Belinda) Strope of Paragould; daughter, Linda Songer of Paragould; grandsons, Shannon (Wendy) Strope, Eric Strope, and Brian Songer all of Paragould; brothers, Donald (Kathy) Strope of Mammoth Springs and Jerry (Linda) Strope of Paragould; and several geat grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1-2 PM at Heath Funeral Home. Everyone will meet at Finch Cemetery for a graveside funeral beginning at 3 PM.
