Vivian Mitchem Thom

Vivian Ann Hubble Mitchem Thom, 94, of Marmaduke, passed away Friday at Belle Meade Healthcare. She was a nurse's aide for many years, and she enjoyed taking care of elderly people. Mrs. Vivian was of the Church of Christ faith. She was the daughter of the late George Washington Hubble and Rosa May Bailey Hubble. She was also preceded in death by her sons, James Leroy Thom and Earnest Mitchem, Jr.; daughter, Carolyn Steele; and sisters, Gertrude, Margaret, Lucille, Iona, and Aldena.

Survivors include her daughter, Alice Panhorst of Marmaduke; sons, Don Mitchem of Pocahontas, James Lee Thom, and Johnny Thom; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; and the loving staff at Belle Meade and Dierkson Hospice, who have taken wonderful care of Mrs. Vivian.

Visitation is Tuesday from 2-3 PM at Heath Funeral Home. Funeral service begins at 3 PM with Rev. Roger Tidwell officiating. Burial will be in Pine Knot Cemetery.
