Virginia Inez Eakins, 89, of Marmaduke, passed away Wednesday in Paragould. She was a homemaker and member of Lafe Baptist Church, where she participated in many church activities. Inez enjoyed quilting, gardening, canning foods, and sewing. She was the daughter of the late Piney and Beulah Park. She was also preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Willard Eakins, and sons, Larry, Steve, and Bruce Eakins.
Inez is survived by her children, Melvin (Deborah) Eakins and Linda (Jerry) Campbell, both of Marmaduke, Barbara Bonner (Arvid Dahl) of Fort Worth, Texas, Philip (Amy) Eakins of Roswell, Georgia, and Diane Potter of Fort Worth; 14 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Visitation is Saturday from 1-3 pm at Heath Funeral Home. The funeral begins at 3 pm with Pastor David Poe officiating. Burial is in Providence Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to Lafe Baptist Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
