Virginia "Ginni" Yeargain, 75, of the Gainesville community, died May 30, 2022. Ginni was born on September 5, 1946, in Lake City to the late William and Mildred Wood. She graduated from Dixie High School. She then received her Bachelor of Science in Education from Arkansas State University. Ginni married Joe Yeargain on August 16, 1965. She remained faithfully married to him for over 50 years until his passing in 2016. Ginni taught school in Alaska and Arkansas for a total of 28 years. She was a lifelong member of Gainesville Church of Christ. She loved spending time outdoors, shopping, and traveling.
Ginni was preceded in death by her husband, Joe K. Yeargain; parents, W.C. "Clifton" and Mildred Wood; sister, Ellen Stewart; and brother, Donald Wood.
Survivors include her brother, W.C. "Dub" (Mary) Wood of Lake City; brother-in-law, James Stewart of Lake City; nieces, Jami (Kent) Bridger of Jonesboro, Carol (Chuck) Wofford of Paragould, Ashley (Brian) Sessums of Paragould and Lisa (Derek) Exum of Paragould; and great nephews, Stewart (Grayson) Bridger of Springdale and Jamison Bridger of Jonesboro.
A graveside service will be Friday, June 3, 2022, at 10am at Greene County Memorial Gardens with trusted pastor and friend, Topper Killough, officiating. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to Gainesville Church of Christ, 165 Greene 155 Road, Paragould, AR 72450.
