Viola Lois Stephens, 88, of Paragould passed away Monday at Flo and Phil Hospice House. She was born in Lafe and was a member of West View Baptist Church. Viola was the daughter of the late Mannie and Ruth Miller Williams. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Thelbert Stephens, brother, Donald Williams, and sisters, Juanita Hicks and Martha Chambers.
Survivors include her son, James M. (Connie) Stephens of Soldotna, AK; ; three sisters, Flora Merchant of Tomah, WI, Ellen Edwards of Paragould, and Delorice Stewart of De Bary, FL; grandson, Christopher (Janet) Stephens of Springfield, MO; granddaughter, Jennifer (Matthew) Bowes of Anchorage, AK; great grandchildren, Caleb (Sara) Stephens, Madison Stephens, Cody Stephens, Jessica Stephens, Piper Stephens, Shiloh Stephens, Casey Stephens and Sadie Rose Stephens; great-great granddaughter, Scarlett Stephens; sister-in-laws, Loretta (Charles) Smith, Lorene Stephens and Katherine Gerdes; multiple nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday night from 6-8 pm at Heath Funeral Home. Service will be Friday at 1:00 in the chapel with Rev. Ronnie Winn and John Lane officiating. Burial will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Flo and Phil Hospice House in Jonesboro in honor of Viola Stephens.
