Vickie Sue Ogles of Paragould passed away on June 27, 2024, her 65th birthday.
In her younger days, she attended Paragould High School and then dedicated over twenty years of her life to Emerson Electric until her well-deserved retirement.
Vickie was an enthusiastic woman who enjoyed the simple treasures in life. She was a competitive bowler for many years and cherished her prized collection of badges and awards. Racing cars and playing softball were also passions of hers, and she loved any activity that brought out her daring spirit and competitive nature.
Beyond her love for living life to the fullest, Vickie’s family was always near and dear to her heart. Her only child, Myranda Ogles, was her ultimate pride and joy. As a proud pageant and gymnastics mom, she was always on the sidelines cheering for her daughter’s success. She often said, “My child is my greatest accomplishment,” and anyone who knew her believed it to be true.
Vickie Sue Ogles is survived by her daughter, Myranda Ogles of Paragould; her sister, Sheila Cleavenger; nephews, Bryan Wilcox, Micheal Ogles, Nick Ogles, and David Erby; nieces, Monica Thompson, Ronda Bolton, Julie Ogles, and Brandi Erby; special great-niece, Hailee Vanhorn; and special great-great nephew, Kayden "KK" Thompson. Vickie was preceded in death by her mother, Hettie Stanfill Ogles; brothers, Dwight and Wayne Ogles; sister, Rita Greer; and her beloved Yorkie, Mimi.
The funeral services honoring her life will take place on Saturday, July 6, 2024. There will be a public visitation from 12 to 1 p.m. at Heath Funeral Home. The funeral will begin at 1 p.m., and burial will follow in Pine Log Cemetery.
Vickie will be remembered as a fighter, a lover, and a “stranger to no one.” May she rest in peace, knowing she was adored by all who knew her.
