Velma Jerlene Seay, 86, of Malden, MO, died Friday at Golden Living Nursing Home in Malden. She worked in a flower shop in St. Louis and was a member of 1st Baptist Church in Malden. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lemuel Seay; parents, Alvin and Bobbie Wyatt White; and brother, Jimmy White.
Survivors include son, Clois (Virginia) Seay of Malden, MO; grandchildren, Teresa (Bryan) Carson of Poplar Bluff, Jennifer Cecil of Bloomfield, MO and David Crank of Cape Girardeau, MO; great grandchildren, Jared Cecil of Dexter, MO, Brittany and Christen Cecil of Bloomfield, MO and Ashley Ferguson of Malden, MO; great, great grandchildren, Skylar and Cason; brothers, Dewy (Teresa) White of Lafe, Doyle (Delores) White of House Springs, MO, Don (Sandy) White of Mabelville: sisters, Lavern (Bill) Wren of St. Louis, Rachel Darlene (Jerry) Hilliard of Hillsboro, MO, Mertie Fay (Richard) Cobb of Ashdown, and Effie (Tommy) Haygood of Paragould.
Visitation will be Monday from 10:00-12:00 pm at Providence Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 with Rev. Eddie Gene Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery. Send memorials to Providence Cemetery Fund.
