Una Belle Watkins Spicer went to Heaven on December 28, 2017, at the age of 95. She was born in Lake City on June 20, 1922. Belle retired from Arkansas Methodist Hospital after 20 years of service. She enjoyed working in her flower gardens and helping others. Belle was a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew Stanley Watkins and Pearl (Hendrix) Murphy; husband, John Homer Spicer; daughter, Janette Lavern (Spicer) Powers; granddaughter, Annette Marie Gruger; grandson, Monty Lynn Spicer; great grandson, Brett Curtis; and sisters, Juanita Perkins, Donna Jean Clark, Mary Watkins, and Gladys Welch.
Survivors include her son, Larry Spicer; daughter, Carolyn Sue Spicer; grandchildren, Tracy John Spicer, John Andrew Spicer, Keetra Janette Carner, Renee Conway, Tammy Cromwell, David Larry Gruger, and Carrie Leigh Cole; 13 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; brothers, Ruben and W.C. Watkins; sister, Elwanda Faughn; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation is Saturday morning at 9am at Heath Funeral Home. The funeral begins at 10am with Rev. Carl Clark officiating. Burial will be private.
