Tony Leonard Harvey, 82, born on December 20, 1942, in Dixie, passed from this life peacefully on January 28, 2025, in Paragould. A beloved husband, father, and friend, Tony's life was marked by dedication, love, and a passion for the simple pleasures that surrounded him.
Tony grew up in the small town of Dixie, where he graduated from Dixie High School in 1961. On April 15, 1961, he married the love of his life, Connie Hyde. Their partnership was a testament to unwavering support and companionship, a bond that remained strong throughout their life together.
In his professional career, Tony made a significant mark as a truck driver for Foremost Dairy, where he worked diligently for 20 years. Following his time there, he spent over a decade at Dana Corporation in Jonesboro, exemplifying his commitment and work ethic. Outside of work, Tony was a true enthusiast of cars, often finding joy in buying and selling them. He also cherished his time outdoors, taking great pride in his yard work and the beauty of nature that surrounded him.
Tony was of the Baptist faith, reflecting his values and beliefs in both his personal and professional life. He is remembered fondly by his bride of 63 years, Connie; daughter, Tammy (Rodney) May of Elizabeth; son, Keith (Leighanne) Harvey of Little Rock; grandchildren, Tony Blake May, Whitney Allen, Taylor (Paige) Harvey, and Hannah Harvey; great grandson, Bryson Allen; brother, Ronnie (Ann) Harvey; and numerous friends and family members whose lives he touched. Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Juanita Harvey, and brother, Tommy Joe Harvey.
Funeral services for Tony Leonard Harvey will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025, at 1 pm at Mt. Home Cemetery with Rev. Kenny Johnson officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate Tony's life and share their cherished memories.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, honoring Tony's enduring legacy of love and community service.
