Todd Gray Dudley, a native of Paragould, passed away at 8:40 P.M. on Thursday April 12, 2012 at his residence in Lafayette. Todd Dudley was a wonderful husband, son, brother and friend and loved by many. He had a witty dry sense of humor that always made you laugh and brought a smile to your face. Through his two year battle against cancer, his positive attitude, strength and love of life were a true inspiration to all. He never gave up on living and exceeded the medical expectations time and time again to the surprise of his doctors. Todd graduated from Paragould High School in Paragould Arkansas and University of Central Arkansas in Conway, Arkansas. He was a star athlete in high school and college and equally gifted in basketball and football. His favorite activities included watching Razorback football and basketball games, playing golf and enjoying warm days of sunshine outdoors. He was previously an assistant basketball coach at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana. He also worked as a district sales manager for Hypertherm selling industrial equipment and won many sales awards in his career. Later, he opened a restaurant in Lafayette called Corky’s Ribs and BBQ. For the past few years, he was a beloved hero to the ladies of the Krewe of Xanadu Mardi Gras Krewe in Lafayette, LA and attended many functions to honor the ladies of this Krewe. Todd was loved, respected, and admired by many and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife Brenda Brantley Dudley of Lafayette; his parents Charles Robert and Jacqueline Gray Dudley of Paragould AR.; two brothers David and his wife Karin Dudley of Paragould AR., and Charles Robert and his wife Martha Dudley II of Hot Springs AR.; his father and mother in law Ellard and Gloria Brantley of Monroe La.; a niece Anna Elise Dudley of Fayetteville AR.; two nephews Robert Dudley of Little Rock AR., and Thomas Dudley of Hot Springs AR; his aunt Marcia Ealy of College Station TX.; and two cousins Marcia “Kit” Carleton of League City TX., and Clark Ealy of College Station TX.
