Thelma Pauline Wells

Thelma Pauline Wells, 81, of Paragould, died Thursday, March 17, 2011, at Greene Acres Nursing Home in Paragould. She was born December 22, 1929, in Leachville, AR to the late Frank and Grace Robinette Burgess. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Eugene S. Wells, son, Garryl "Yogi" Wells, and sister, Almarie Gosnell. Thelma was a school teacher and librarian for over 25 years at Stanford, Oak Grove and Paragould Schools. She was a member of Commissary Church of Christ and enjoyed games, puzzles, books and jokes. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon and Bob Bushong, sons: Michael Wells, David and Sandy Wells, all of Paragould; brother: Joe Burgess of Pacific, Missouri; brother-in-law: Bill Gosnell of Pevely, Missouri; grandchildren: Thomas Lee and Gina Wells, Bradley Clark and Alyssa Wells; great granddaughter: Lily Wells, all of Paragould and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Heath Funeral Home from 6:00- 8:00 PM, Saturday. Her life will be celebrated at Heath Colonial Chapel, 1:00 PM, Sunday, with Art Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers are David Goebel, Coleman Rothe, Winston Hollis, Hal Hyde, Casey Bruce, David Dodd with Charles and Phillip Rowe being honorary pallbearers.
