Thelma Laverne Adams

Thelma Laverne Adams (AKA Toots), 97, of Paragould, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2021. Thelma was born on October 13, 1923 in Lake City, Arkansas to the late Oliver and Ethel Marie Heinke Thomason. She enjoyed to sew and paint and loved flowers. Thelma is preceded in death by her husband of forty-five years, Curtis Adams; brothers, Clarence Thomason and Gerald Thomason; sisters, Doris Code and Melva Cook; sons-in-law, Sonny Marshall and Gene Wood; and her great-granddaughter, Alex Snyder.

Survivors include her daughters, Carolyn Wood, Pat Marshall, and Judy (Hulen) Cobb all of Paragould; grandchildren, Karen (Joe) Pillow, Lesa (Brian) Osborn, LeAnn (Derek) Bostic, Kyle (Christy) Marshall, Scott (Lindsey) Snyder, Misty (Clint Mangrum) Ruhl, Tammie (Jim) Clayton, Steve (Nianna) Cobb, Tonya (Scott) Wheat; sister, Bobbie Payne; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; twenty-two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Thursday night at Heath Funeral Home from 6-8 pm. The funeral service will be held Friday at Heath Funeral Home at 1:00 pm with Bro. Royce Boling officiating. Burial will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Joe Pillow, Brian Osburn, Kyle Marshall, Derek Bostic, Scott Snyder and Steve Cobb. Honorary pallbearers will be the great grandsons.
