Susie Evelene Akes

Susie Evelene Akes, 84, formerly of Marmaduke, died Monday, February 4, 2013 at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center. Susie was born to William and Mary (Sims) Parrish September 7, 1928 in Batesville, Arkansas. Mrs. Akes is preceded in death by her parents, her husband William Raymond Akes, one daughter Loretta Wood and her grandson Michael Potter. Mrs. Akes is survived by her three children and their spouses Charles and Wyvonia Akes, Billy and Patricia Akes and Melba Lawson, eleven grandchildren, and several great and great-great grandchildren. Services will be 10AM Wednesday, February 6 in the Heath Colonial Chapel; burial will follow in the Harvey’s Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8PM Tuesday at Heath Funeral Home.
