It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Summer Dawn Jordan, age 33, who left us on December 22, 2024. Summer was born on July 26, 1991, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, and was a cherished member of the Paragould community, where she spent her life and nurtured her beloved family.
Summer graduated from Paragould High School in 2009, carrying with her a spirit of dedication and a zest for life that was evident in all she pursued. As a devoted housekeeper at Candlewood Suites, she was known for her exceptional work ethic and meticulous attention to detail. Summer took great pride in her role, always ensuring that every space sparkled and radiated warmth.
Summer was a loving partner to Gage Glenn, and mother to her four beautiful children: Zayden Maxwell (father Scotty Maxwell), Lainey, Larsen, and Elainah Jordan (father Tyler Jordan). She loved spending time with her kids and family. Summer was a sister to Kevin Hammond and Brandy Couch. She was a beloved daughter to Melissa Alsup, and will be missed by her extended family and numerous cousins and friends, including Randy and Casandra "Aunt San" West (who was like a second mother to her), Grandmother Claudette Couch, Uncle Rod Church, Aunt Krickett Merrell (Josh), Aunt Lori Loggins, Lynn McCoy, Daren and Amber Jordan, and Aaron and Neeley Smith.
Summer was preceded in death by her grandparents: Homer and Carolyn Church, Margie Church, and Murl Couch, and Aunt Cindy Gage.
Summer attended Oak Grove Heights Pentecostal Church, where her faith was integral to her life. She approached each day with gratitude and an infectious smile. Known for her passion for beauty, Summer loved to be very detailed in the application of her make-up, and she always arrived looking good (but usually late)- a reflection of her vibrant personality and love for life.
To honor Summer's memory, funeral services will be held at Heath Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 31, at 11 AM with a burial to follow at Shiloh Cemetery. A visitation will take place on Monday, December 30, beginning at 6 PM. Pastor Jason Eubanks will be officiating the service.
In celebrating Summer's life, we remember her kindness, dedication, and the love she poured into everything she did. She will forever be missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
