Stanley Robert Penny, age 58, born August 1, 1950 went to be with the Lord October 30, 2008. He is survived by his parents, Rochelle and Betty Penny; a son, Kyle Robert Penny of Bethalto, Il.; daughters, Jessica Penny and Jennifer Penny of St. Louis, Mo.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Karen (Dutch) Wilhelm of Tahlequah, Ok., Cheryl (Tim) Coffin of Colorado Springs, Co.; grandson, Nicholas Penny of Bethalto, Il; and several nieces and nephews. He attended Missouri Baptist College in St. Louis, Mo. and graduated from Radio and Television Broadcasting Academy in Kansas City, Mo. He was Vice President of Penny’s Upholstery, Inc., and employed at Logan Chiropractic College for the last few years he was able to work. He was of the Baptist faith and was ordained as a deacon on October 21, 1984 by Overland Baptist Church in St. Louis, Mo. He loved to write Parodies that brought joy and laughter to friends and family. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday at the Heath Colonial Chapel with Reverend Dennis Scudder and Col. Timothy Coffin officiating. Burial will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm prior to the service on Sunday.
