Shirley Jane Stanfill

Shirley Jane Stanfill, 79, of Paragould, passed from this life on Saturday, August 12, 2023. She was born in Cardwell, Missouri, on October 6, 1943, to the late James and Etoil Hooper. Jane married the love of her life, Fred "Junior" Stanfill, Jr. on October 29, 1960. She retired from Frolic Shoe Factory after more than 30 years of service. Jane and Junior loved to travel. They enjoyed trips across the United States or going to the lake. Jane was a lover of animals, specifically dogs and cats. She could sit for hours with an animal in her lap. Jane spent a lot of time gardening and canning. She was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Gary Lewis; brothers, Charles "Sonny" Hooper and Johnny Hooper; and sisters, Priscilla Angotti, Mary Jo Ward, and Sharon Morrison.

Jane is survived by her husband of 62 years, Junior Stanfill; daughter, Alice Lewis of Paragould; granddaughter, Crystal (Mark) Burrow of Paragould; great grandchildren, Karley and Jaxon Burrow of Paragould; brothers, Wallace Hooper of Arbyrd and Paul Hooper of Little Rock; sisters, Doris Brown of Walcott, Alice Bishop of Paragould, Rose Johnson of Little Rock, and Pam Roy of Walcott; and special friends, Gary "Woody" and Nora Woodsmall.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 15, 2023, from 10-11 AM at Heath Funeral Home. The funeral begins at 11 AM. Burial is in Greene County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Mark and Jaxon Burrow, Payne Greer, Rick Ward, Tim Williams, Greg Forehand, and Woody Woodsmall. Please send memorials to the ALS Foundation.
