Born on October 23, 1940, in East Saint Louis, Illinois, Sherrin lived most of her earlier years in Palestine, St. Francis County, Arkansas. In 1989, she and her beloved spouse, Paul Emerson Frazier, moved to Paragould where they continued to build a life rich in love and community.
Sherrin dedicated over 37 years of her life to the medical profession as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Her compassion and commitment to her patients were evident, and she took great pride in her work. While residing in Palestine, she sought to enhance the well-being of her community by establishing an ambulance service, ensuring that her neighbors received the care they needed during emergencies.
Marrying Paul on November 17, 1986, Sherrin found her true partner in life. Together, they shared a love for travel, embarking on adventures across the state and throughout the country four to five times each year. Beyond her professional and familial dedication, Sherrin enjoyed riding horses, indulging in mystery novels, engaging in spirited card games, and crocheting. A devoted fan of *The Young and the Restless* and Elvis Presley, she found joy in her daily routines and cherished moments with family and friends.
A faithful member of Finch Baptist Church, Sherrin's unwavering faith was a cornerstone of her life and provided her with strength and comfort throughout her years. She is survived by her children, Randy Ray Grimes, Carolyn Elizabeth Burdett, and Peter Jay Massing; ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a great-great grandchild on the way. Sherrin was preceded in death by her parents, James Fred "Buster" and Carrie Mae DuBois Maness; husband, Paul Frazier; brother, Charles James Maness, Sr.; infant brother, Fred Maness; infant sister, Carrie Maness; daughter, Dorothy Sue Grimes Pratt; and grandson, Christian Levi Massing.
