On January 18, 2014, Heaven gained a new angel, Sarah Elizabeth Hurst, age 22, of Paragould, Arkansas. Sarah was born on May 29, 1991, to Bill and Lennie Hurst, in Paragould. Sarah was a beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. Sarah had a huge heart and a thirst to love others. Sarah was a member of the First Church of God in Paragould. Sarah’s passion was dance: a passion that impacted those who never met her but were given the opportunity to witness her craft. Sarah was captain of the Greene County Tech dance team while in high school and then went on to become a member of the Arkansas State University A-Team. Sarah also loved to teach dance to a younger age group. She was currently working as a preschool teacher at School of the 21st Century. She was a junior at ASU working toward a dual degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. It was her wish to teach and work with Autistic children. Sarah is preceded in death by her two grandfathers, Joe Hurst and Jim Blalock. She is survived by her loving parents, Bill and Lennie Hurst of Paragould; one sister, Farra Risinger, and brother-in-law, Josh Risinger; two nephews, Will and Rossy Joe Risinger; grandmothers, Linda Hurst and Martha Blalock; aunt and uncle, LaVonda and Bruce Benson; and cousins, Michael Gossett, Chelsea, Breanna, and Madison Benson all of Paragould; as well as an entire host of family and friends. A Celebration of her life will take place at Heath Funeral Home in Paragould, on Wednesday, January 22, at 1:00 p.m. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 21, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Kevin Edgar and Tim Ohler will officiate. Burial will be at New Friendship Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Justin Pemberton, Landon Lamb, Langston Ashmore, Jimmy Poe, Tyson Underwood, Martin Mitchell, and John Hambrick, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be will be her life long bestfriends Rachael Morton, Kortney Clayton, Cassie Hale, Shelby Hall, Kaitlyn Mangrum, Brooke Lenderman, Alex Prince, Jessica Brogdon, Whitney Welchel, and Tiffany Sorrentino. In honor of Sarah’s bright and colorful personality, the family asks that bright colors be worn as we celebrate her life. The family requests that memorials be made to the Autism Association of Northeast Arkansas, 1702 Stone Street-Suite A, Jonesboro, AR 72401.
