Sandra Coble

Sandra Sue Coble, 85, passed away October 12, 2024 at home in Stanford, AR. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jessie Hines Agar; father, Signor Hines; stepfather, Al Agar; sister, Carmelita Rothrock; brother, Bill Hines; daughter, Christy Hall Cooper; and son-in-law, Gary Felty. 

Survivors include her husband, Royce Coble; daughter, Vicky Hall Felty; son-in-law, Brent Cooper; three stepsons, David (Audelia) Coble, Jim Coble, and Chris (Anna) Coble; four grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. 

Born and raised in Magnolia, AR, Sandra moved to Jonesboro in 1956 to attend college at ASU, graduating with both bachelor and master degrees. She had a long career in education, touching many lives over the years starting in Jonesboro, Memphis, Paragould, Piggott, and retiring from her career as the Special Education Supervisor for Northeast Arkansas. She was affectionately known as "Grammy" to her grandchildren. She spent the last 17 years happily married to the love of her life and high school sweetheart, Royce. 

After retirement, she loved to travel with Royce, often traveling to visit family and friends both near and far. As an avid sports fan, she could be found watching college football and basketball every chance possible, never missing a televised Arkansas Razorback game. She also enjoyed watching professional golf, and was once a golfer herself. 

A celebration of her life will be held at Heath Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 16. The family will receive friends starting at 2 P.M. until the service begins at 3 P.M. Officiating will be Larry McFadden and Mikka Felty.
