Samuel "Sam" Frederick Hanks

Samuel Frederick Hanks, age 77, of Lafe died Thursday, January 29, 2009, at his Residence in Lafe. Sam was retired from the University Of Tennessee in Memphis as a rehab engineer. He also made cabinets, loved woodworking and served during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife; Glenda Hanks; children Sam Hanks, Jr. of Memphis, Joe Hanks of Memphis, John Hanks of Chicago, Illinois, Jim Gentry of Southeast Asia, Terri Stewart of Paragould, Christy Newell of Marmaduke, eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Heath Funeral Home, 321 West Garland St., Paragould, AR where the family will receive friends from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 31, 2009. Funeral service will be at Heath Colonial Chapel at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 31, 2009, Rev. Royce Schanda officiating. Interment will be at LuLu Cemetery, Senath, MO
