Ruth Elizabeth Stoll, 89, of Paragould, died Saturday at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center. Ruth was born on January 1, 1928 in Collinsville, Illinois. She lived in Collinsville and Troy, Illinois for all of her youth, graduating from Collinsville High School in 1945. On June 14, 1945, she married Henry Stoll and they were married until Henry's death in 2009. Four sons were born during their marriage, Alfred in 1946, Grant in 1950, Paul in 1961, and Mark in 1962. Alfred died in 1969 and Grant died in 1990. Ruth lived with Henry in East St Louis, Illinois, Springfield, Illinois, Cape Girardeau, Missouri, McGregor, Iowa, Hooper, Nebraska, Creston, Iowa, Schaller, Iowa, West Memphis, Arkansas, Memphis, Tennessee, and then retiring in Paragould. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. Ruth had been residing at Sunshine Manor Assisted Living since May 2017.
She is survived by her sons, Paul (Christine) Stoll of Smithville, Tennessee, and Mark Stoll of Paragould. Ruth has three grown grandchildren, Shannon Morgan, Brittany Stoll, and Joseph Stoll; and was expecting her first great grandchild in February 2018.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 9-11 at Redeemer Lutheran Church with the funeral to follow at 11 with Rev. Paul Baumann officiating. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery.
