Russell "Gene" Rippy

Russell Eugene "Gene" Rippy, 91, of Paragould, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2021. Gene was born on February 27, 1929 in Greene County Arkansas to the late Ben and Nettie Evans Rippy. He was a lifetime farmer and a member of the Marmaduke Church of Christ. Gene was a veteran of the United States Army. He enjoyed spending time at Norfork Lake, water skiing, and loved just being outdoors. Gene is preceded in death by his wife of sixty-six years, Lorenda Rippy; daughter, Elaine Rippy Roberts; granddaughter, Kay Rippy Murray; and six siblings, Charley Parrish Rippy, Merl (Monk) Rippy, Violet Rippy Roberts, Jack Rippy, Bonnie Rippy, and James Rippy.

Survivors include his daughter, Nelda Rippy Hicks (J.T.); son Kevin Rippy (Julie); four grandchildren, Tina Linam (Jason). Adam Lewis (Audrey), Andrew Rippy, and Ashlynne Rippy; three great-grandchildren, Shelby Linam, Molly Linam, and Kamren McCracken; and several nieces and nephews.

All services will be private.
