Robert Harold Long, 67, of Paragould, passed away Saturday at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock. He served in the United States Army during Vietnam, and he retired from Darling Store Fixtures after working for over 25 years. His favorite activities were hanging out with his friends on Friday nights, reading, and spending time with his daughter. Robert was an active member of the Fox Hills Country Club. He had a special love of fishing, golfing, and science fiction. Robert was the son of Betty Hays and the late Harold Long. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Ward; brothers, Gary "Jake" Long and Mike Long; and grandson, Landon Cody Wyatt.
Robert is survived by his daughter, Chelsea Lehman (Tara) of Bono; grandson, Slayton Lehman; mother and step-father, Betty and Bob Hays; sister, Susan Gramling; mother of Chelsea, Scarlett Long; family friend, Adam Watkins; nieces and nephews, Nikki (Jason) Houston, Jeremy Long, Trevor (Kayla) Gramling, Ben (Madison) Gramling, and Michael Robert Long; and many more family and friends.
Visitation is Wednesday evening from 5-7 pm at Heath Funeral Home in Paragould. The funeral is Thursday at 11 am at Heath Colonial Chapel with Rev. Kathleen McMurray officiating.
