Richard Allen "Tommy" Oxford, 61, Paragould passed away Saturday at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock. He was born July 12, 1949 in Blytheville, AR the son of the late Henry Clayton and Virdie Valentine Oxford. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Kay Oxford, brother, Henry Clayton "Hank" Oxford, Jr. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching westerns, working in the shop, anything outdoors and being "Tom Tom." He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law: Angela and Nathan Newby, son: Scott Oxford all of Paragould; sisters: Earline Mills of O'Kean, Ellen Douglas of Blytheville, Rosemary Miller of Smithville, Mayola Cox of Nixa, MO; brother: Jerald "Runt" Oxford of O'Kean; grandson: Owen Newby of Paragould. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, Wednesday at Heath Funeral Home. The celebration of his life will be at 10:00 AM, Thursday at Heath Colonial Chapel with Reverend Angie Gage officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Scott Oxford, Nick Rose, Bobby Gray, Larry McCurley, Dale McIlvoy, Jerry Thrasher.
