Rex Alan Bouldin, 60, of Paragould, died Tuesday, April 17, 2012 in Paragould. He was born September 12, 1951 in Searcy, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his mother, Charlene Osborne Bouldin, and his father, Bradley Elvin Bouldin. Rex was a deacon in the Catholic Church since 2002 and served in this position St. Mary’s in Paragould, St. Joseph the Worker in Corning, St. John the Baptist in Engelberg and St. Paul in Pocahontas. He was also active in the Rotary Club of Paragould, National Association of Homebuilders, Paragould Youth Baseball, Greene County Tech High School football (he was their announcer), Boys Club Football, Arkansas State Alumni Association, Knights of Columbus, Arkansas Methodist Medical Center Foundation Board, Collins Theater Foundation. He was interested in hunting and sailing. He lovingly called his boat Jenny. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Martin Bouldin of the home; children and grandchildren: Chris and Nena Bouldin of Tulsa, Oklahoma, who are expecting Rex's second grandchild; Eric and Debbie Bouldin and their son Seth; and Ashley Bouldin of Brooklyn, New York; brother, Ray Bouldin of Huntsville, Alabama. There will be a public rosary at 6:00 PM Thursday at Heath Colonial Chapel. Visitation will follow the Rosary from 6:30-9:00 PM Thursday. His life will be celebrated at 10:30 AM, Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Mike Sinkler officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the St. Mary's School Trust Fund, 220 N. 2nd Street, Paragould, AR 72450.
