Rev. Junior Vester

Rev. Junior Vester, age 86, of Paragould, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould. He was born at Minorca, AR to the late Otis and Quila Vester. He was a dedicated husband, dad, paw-paw and great grandpa. He dedicated 45 years of his life to the ministry. He was a retired Baptist minister and a retired veteran of World War II. He was a member of New Haven Baptist Church where he had continued to teach Sunday School. He was preceded in death by one grandchild, Anthony Vester. Survivors include his wife: Wanda Vester, of the home; son and daughter-in-law: Lonnie and Brenda Vester; daughter and son-in-law: Brenda and Alan Bruce, all of Paragould; grandchildren: Stephanie and Alan Jackson, Missy and Robby Arnold, Kendall and Resi Vester, all of Paragould; great grandchildren: Tyler Arnold of Milan, MO, Tristen Arnold, Cameron Vester, Landen Vester and Callie Vester, all of Paragould. Sister and brother-in-law, Vida Mae and Ryburn Rapert. The family will receive friends Wednesday, from 5:00-9:00 PM at Heath Funeral Home. His life will be celebrated at New Haven Baptist Church, 2:00 PM, Thursday, with Reverend Rick Hyde and Reverend Ron Pickney officiating. Interment will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Clyde Richey, Randy Hedge, Danny Jernigan, Roy Davenport, Bob Smith, James Woodman. Honorary Pallbearers are Byron Shelton, Jackie Hall and Don Knowlton.
