Rachel Mae Cummins

Rachel Cummins, 87, of Brookland, died Wednesday, November 9, 2011, at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. She was born June 18, 1924 in Craighead County the daughter of the late William Cloyd and Ola Jane Jernigan Willey. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Angelo Cummins, granddaughter, Jessica Cummins, son-in-law, Noel Breaux, daughter-in-law, Linda Cummins, brothers, Warren and Simon Willey, sister, Alma Cornelison, half sister, Laura Robertson. She was a homemaker, a seamstress and a member of the New Antioch Baptist Church. She loved taking care of her family. She is survived by her daughters: Karon Martin of McRea, AR, Gail Breaux of Brookland; sons: Larry Gene Cummins of Fennville, MI, Kreg Cummins of Conway; sister: Emma Felts of Grand Blanc, MI; brothers: D. W. Willey of Paragould, James Edward Willey of Brookland; grandchildren: Todd Cummins, Robin Martin, James Martin, Ashleigh Douglas, and Lilee Cummins; three great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, at Heath Funeral Home. Her life will be celebrated at Heath Colonial Chapel, 1:00 PM, Friday, with Reverend Kevin Edgar officiating.
