Phyllis Ann Thompson, 78, originally of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away at her home in Paragould, Arkansas on her birthday, July 24, 2020. She was born July 24, 1942, in Clearfield, Kentucky to the late Edgar and Grace Bowman. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Carl Jack Cox, whom she married June 20, 1958 and they were married until his death in 1985. Ms. Thompson later married William “Bill” Thompson on August 18, 1992 and they were married until he passed away, October 9, 2013. She is also preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Bowman and one brother in law, RC Snipes. She is survived by one sister in law, Pauline Bowman, one brother and sister in law, Billy and Charlotte Bowman and one sister, Suzette Snipes. She is also survived by one daughter and son in law of the heart, Frankie and Janice Starling, four stepchildren, several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Phyllis was a woman who loved with all of her heart, especially her family, friends, and dogs. She was a woman with a helping heart and would do anything to help others. She loved the outdoors, four-wheeler riding, and was member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association. She was member of Charity Free Will Baptist Church until she moved to Arkansas, where she was loved and pampered until her death.

Services will be at Northcutt and Sons Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel, in Morehead, Kentucky. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2020 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm and the funeral will immediately follow at 12:00 pm, with Pastor Robert Kidd officiating. Burial will follow in the Bowman Cemetery on Jones Ridge. Pall bearers will be Frankie Starling, Kenny Cox, Robert Hazelwood, Elijah Hazelwood, Robert Lee and Jason Ginn.
