Peggy Jo Ann Harness Baker, 81, of Mebane, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at the Hospice Home surrounded by her family. She was a native of Marmaduke, Arkansas and the wife of the late Charles Roy Baker.
Peggy attended Glen Hope Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She enjoyed needle work, crocheting and quilting. Peggy was an avid reader and was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her son, Todd Baker and wife, Amy of Mebane; daughter, Tara Ramsey and husband, Jay of Ankeny, Iowa; grandchildren, Emily and Jake Ramsey of Ankeny, Iowa, Catherine Thompson and husband, Seth of Raleigh, Caroline, Caleb and Caden Baker of Mebane. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, John Henry and Marveline Smith Harness and a sister, Betty Sue Mahan.
The family will receive friends from 4-6 pm on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematoryin Burlington, NC.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at Hartsoe Cemetery in Marmaduke, Arkansas with Rev. Kim Bridges officiating.
