Pearl Ellis

January 4, 1933 — March 19, 2016

Pearl Ellis, 83, of Paragould, passed away Saturday in Jonesboro. She was retired as a Nursing Assistant from Paragould Nursing Center and of the Church of Christ faith. She loved flowers and enjoyed gardening. She was the daughter of the late Joe and Addie Medling. Pearl was also preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, James Edward Ellis; infant grandson, Joey Allen Ellis; brothers, Rudy Damron, Billy, James, and Homer Medling; and sisters, Sally Casteel, Robline Harvey, Imogene Ray, and Bertha Taylor.

Survivors include her daughter, Shirley Brock of Paragould; sons, Eddie (Karen) Ellis of Paragould and Mikie Allen (Jodene) Ellis of Lafe; grandchildren, Rick, Gary, and Timothy Ellis, Jennifer Ellis Bateman, Paige Ellis Gray, and Mark and Lloyd Brock; great grandchildren, Blake, Abigail, Tanner, and Alex Ellis, Trevor, Karma, and Emma Bateman, and Alex, Victoria, Erika, and Sarah Brock; and brother, Jabo Medling.

Visitation is Wednesday evening from 6-8 at Heath Funeral Home. The funeral begins at 2 pm Thursday at Heath Colonial Chapel with Larry McFadden officiating. Burial is in Linwood Cemetery. Pallbearers are Rick, Gary, and Timothy Ellis, Mark and Lloyd Brock, and Terry Ellis. Send memorials to Paragould Children's Home, American Cancer Society, or an organization of your choice.
