Pearl Annagene Allen, 87, of Paragould, died Tuesday, August 7, 2012, at St Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Annagene was born September 27, 1924 the daughter of the late William, Sr. and Beulah Mae Laymon Holaway. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy Allen, daughters, Marilyn and Dorreen Allen, brother, William Holaway, Jr. and sister, Dorothy (Holaway) Brewer. Annagene was a LPN, retired from Home for the Golden Years, songwriter, member of Bethel Station Baptist Church and an honorary member of Woods Chapel Methodist Church, where she was a musician for both churches, and a caretaker of people and animals. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Doris and Tom Summers of Murray, KY, three grandchildren, Sarah, Lori and Stephanie, seven great grandchildren, two step great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Saturday, at Heath Colonial Chapel. Her life will be celebrated after visitation Saturday, 11:00 AM at Heath Colonial Chapel with Reverend Carol Moore, Reverend Jason Suftin and Reverend Dennis Vowell officiating. Interment will follow at New Friendship Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to Bethel Station Baptist Church, Woods Chapel Methodist Church or New Friendship Cemetery Fund.
