Paul Derek Myer, 66, of Paragould, passed away Monday, August 23, 2021. Paul was born in Marion, Illinois to the late Charles Ragain and Naomi McCuan Hargrove on January 6, 1955. He served proudly in the United States Army for 21 years earning numerous awards and medals. After his service in the military, he went on to retire from the Natural Resource Conservation Service in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Survivors include his wife, Dena Myer of the home; three sons, John Sullivan (Veronica) of Malvern, Arkansas, Benjamin Jacob Myer (Ashley) of Paragould, and Joseph Myer of Sheridan, Arkansas; grandchildren, Isaac Sullivan of Anchorage, Alaska, Kamron Cole Myer, Kaden Partain, Jonathan Partain, Tagen Partain, Devon Denham, Hailey Denham of Paragould, and Emmaline Lee Myer of Sheridan, Arkansas; father, Robert Myer (Shirley) of Paragould; sister, Roberta Myer of Paragould; and two brothers, Scott Ragain of St. Louis, Missouri, and Tony Ragain of Metropolis, Illinois.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 27, 2021 from 9:30 - 11:00 am at Heath Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 am in the Heath Colonial Chapel with Charles Stoddard officiating. Burial will follow at New Friendship Cemetery.
