Paul Gene Martin

Paul Gene Martin, 86, of Paragould, died Sunday, at his home. He was born September 5, 1924 in Red Onion, Missouri the son of the late George and Mary Howard Martin. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Dortha Jean Martin and granddaughter, Melissa. He was of Church of Christ belief and retired from Emerson Electric Company. Survivors include his children and their spouses: James and Wanda Martin of Marmaduke, Rhonda and David Hosier of Jonesboro, Gary and Lisa Martin of Paragould; sister: Lou Cole of Arbyrd, Missouri; 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and his best buddy, his dog, Princess. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, at Heath Funeral Home. His life will be celebrated at Heath Colonial Chapel, 10:00 AM, Wednesday, with L.R. Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Linwood Cemetery. Pallbearers are grandsons: Jamie Martin, Shane Martin and Jody Kelley; nephews: Wayne Horne, Charles Martin, Monty Martin, Larry Martin. Sandra Martin, Leon Thompson, Don Gross and Chester Jenkins are honorary pallbearers. Memorials may be made to the Children's Home of Paragould, 5515 Old Walcott Road, Paragould, AR 72450.
