Paul Esley Manley, 74, of Brookland, peacefully departed this world on March 8, 2024, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. Paul was born on April 25, 1949, in Elk City, Oklahoma to the late Ray Paul and Zelma Manley. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Norman, Dennis, and Jerry Manley, and sisters, Geraldine Butler, Geneva Perry, and Joy Brown.
Paul worked diligently as a janitor at Marliss Farm Machinery in Brookland, and he took great pride in his work. In his free time, he was an active participant in the Special Olympics and found joy in the camaraderie and competition. An avid bowler, Paul spent many hours perfecting his craft on the lanes. He looked forward to his weekly visits to the bowling alley.
He is survived by his sisters, Gwenda DeHart of Paragould and Patricia Wood of Wentzville, Missouri; brother, W.M. (Fran) Manley of Hillsborough, Missouri; and special friend of 50 years, Nona Cherry. Their love and memories will forever cherish the legacy Paul leaves behind.
A funeral service to honor and celebrate Paul's life will take place at Heath Funeral Home on March 11, 2024, at 1:00 pm with Gary Hill officiating. Prior to the service, there will be a visitation from 12:00 pm until service time. The burial will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Barry DeHart, Brad DeHart, Rodney Manley, Tony Manley, Ryan Manley, and Jeremiah Manley. Memorials may be sent to Children's Homes, Inc. in Paragould.
Paul Esley Manley will forever be remembered for his hard work, dedication, and love for life. May his spirit continue to guide and inspire all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
