Pat Vaughn

October 27, 1932 — September 20, 2021

Pat Vaughn of Cardwell, Missouri passed peacefully on Monday, September 20th, 2021, at the home of
her daughter Lisa in Arlington, Texas.

She was born on October 27th, 1932, to Roy Nichols and Tester (Faulkner) Nichols in the Light, Arkansas
community. She was the second born of four children, older sister Bobbye and younger brothers Joe
Wayne and James T (T𝑖g). She attended grade school at Pumpkin Center and high school at Stanford.
Preceding her in death were her parents Roy and Tester, husband Gene, sister Bobbye, son David, and
grandson Wesley. She is survived by a son Mike (Teresa) of Paragould, AR, daughter in law Lisa of
Cardwell, MO, daughter Lisa (Casey) Haugland of Arlington, TX, daughter Gail Tiffee of Canton, TX,
brothers Joe Wayne and James T (T𝑖g) and a host of loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews,
and nieces.

Pat was the hard-working wife of a farmer spending countless hours on the end of a hoe handle, picking
cotton, riding the old planter, or anything else Gene asked her to do. She was an excellent seamstress
and one of her most pleasurable experiences was getting to work at Hancock Fabric with the legendary
June Ann Bean.

A devout Christian and member of the Forrest Grove General Baptist Church in rural Cardwell, MO since
1955. She loved her church and its members, and they loved her. She was an inspiration to many with
her caring and kind ways always being there to attend to the sick and dying putting their needs before
her own.

She was the epitome of “mother”, caring, loving, and stern when needed which happened to be pretty
often with her high-spirited boys and girls. Her family was her life, but her light shined on countless
others.
