Pamela Elizabeth Staires, 68, of Paragould, passed away Sunday in Jonesboro. She was a housewife who loved to quilt and sew. She was very involved with Quilts of Valor making special quilts for Veterans. Pam was the daughter of the late Lannis and Marjorie Wood.
Survivors included her husband of 28 years, Tony Staires; daughter, Christi (James) Speer; grandchildren, Seth Dearing and Kamryn Dearing; sister, Lanna (Keith) Maxwell; several nieces and nephews; and her quilting sisters, Kathy Cupp, Freida Kelly, Angela Lovelace, Carol Kibler, Sonya Huffmaster, Becky Clifft, and Kay Noel.
A graveside service is Tuesday at 1 pm at Harvey's Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Kim Bridges officiating. The procession will leave Heath Funeral Home at 12:40 pm. Pallbearers are David Smith, Keith Maxwell, Seth Dearing, Shane Messer, Leslie Staires, and Terry Staires. Honorary pallbearers are Dennis Goldsmith and Ronnie Kibler.
