Imogene Combs, 79 years, 10 months, and 9 days, took her heavenly flight on December 24, 2017, to spend Christmas in Heaven. She was born in Light, Arkansas on February 15, 1938 to the late Magdalene Dale. She graduated from Greene County Tech in 1956 where she left the farm and headed for the big city of St. Louis. After a few years on her own, she returned home to get married, raise a family, and start a career. She worked in insurance for many years and then turned her attention to the Skil Corporation in Walnut Ridge where she retired after 20 years of service. She enjoyed camping, fishing, and gardening, but her favorite enjoyment came from her beloved St. Louis Cardinal baseball team. She loved and lived for the Cardinal games.
Imogene was preceded in death by her husband, David Combs, and her mother and stepfather, Magdalene Dale Johnson and Willard Johnson.
She leaves behind those to cherish her memory, daughter, Kimberly Combs Rappold (Larry Martin) of Maumelle, Arkansas; son, Matthew (Misty) Combs of Cherokee Village, Arkansas; grandchildren, Justin (Bridgett) Rappold of Conway, Arkansas, Bryor (Jessica) Shipp of Cherokee Village, and Emily Grace Combs of Cherokee Village; twin great grandsons, Hunter and Tucker Rappold of Conway; sister, Carolyn (Franklin) Williams of Ravenden; and uncle, Melvin Self Dale of Pottsville, Arkansas.
