Opal C. Wood

Opal C. Wood, 84, of Southaven, MS, died Thursday at home. She was a homemaker and a member of Carriage Hills Baptist Church. She was born December 21, 1924 in Paragould the daughter of the late Jack and Essie Mae Austin Clark. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Ardith Clark, Johnston Clark, Bernice Farley, Bonnie Ross, Thelma Zumwalt, Austin Clark, Thurman "Nub" Clark and Leon Clark. Survivors include son: Jack Wood of Southaven, Mississippi; brothers: Connie Clark and Boyce Clark, both of Paragould; grandchildren: Paul Wood of Flint, Michigan, Bradford Wood of Memphis, Tennessee and Brittany Wood of Nashville, Tennessee; great grandchild, Jude Wood of Jacksonville, Florida. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, at Heath Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at Linwood Cemetery, 10:00 AM, Wednesday.
