Onis Summers

Chester Onis Summers, 68, Paragould, died Tuesday at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock. Onis was retired from Darling. He was a member of Peace Tabernacle Apostolic Church. He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Wilma and Basil Nation and father, Neal Summers, wife, Carolyn Summers, siblings, Pauline Parker, LaVerne Glisson, Leona Stone, Ida Mae Marlow, Berneice Gandy, Jane Beebe, Bernice Foster, Ruby Walters, Margie DeVorak, R. G. Summers. He is survived by his daughter, Casandra (Randy) West; grandson, Ben Bryson; step-granddaughter, Summer Couch, all of Paragould; sisters, Mona Besst, Phoenix, AZ; Murline Randel, Brookland; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He had a passion for teaching the gospel through his jail ministry and touched many lives. He will be greatly missed. Luke 10:2. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00-8:00 PM at Heath Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Saturday at 1:30 PM at Heath Colonial Chapel with Reverend Tom Hazlewood and Brother Jason Eubanks officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Knot Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Peace Tabernacle Apostolic Church.
