Oma Cooper, 86, of Paragould, passed away Monday, February 7, 2011, at her home. She was born March 16, 1924, in Shuram, Arkansas. She was a homemaker who raised her family with a heart filled with love, patience, warmth and great kindness. She touched all those she knew in a special way that will always be remembered. She was a gentle woman , and loved by all who knew her. Oma was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Eldora Songer, her sisters, Mamie Nipps and Cora Lee Massey, and her beloved husband of 63 years, Everett Bricen Cooper. She is survived by nine children: Grady (Kaye) Cooper, Keith (Mary Jo) Cooper, Bruce (Teresa) Cooper, Elaine (Stanley) Clark, Vickie Hunt, Randy (Lola) Cooper, Diane Cooper, all of Paragould, Cindy (Jeff) Coleman of Raleigh, NC, and Kevin Cooper of Dallas, TX, 25 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be grandsons: Brandon Cooper, Cameron Cooper, Jody Huckabee, D.J. Leisure, Steven Clark, Tony Cooper, Brad Warner and Jason Warner. Honorary pallbearers will be Chad Cooper. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, at Heath Funeral Home.
